 WELCOME  TO  OLDSMAR

     I hope you find the information related to the City of Oldsmar Fire Rescue Department that you are looking for. If you are new to Oldsmar or have lived here forever I want to extend a warm welcome and let you know what the City of Oldsmar Fire Rescue can do for you.  Our department is an all-hazards responder and we provide many emergency services including:

  • Fire Suppression 

  • Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services

  • Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement

  • Emergency Management Planning and Mitigation

  • Public Education and Public Information

     Our department members take pride in the apparatus and equipment they utilize everyday in providing rapid, high quality emergency services. We encourage you to take the time to visit our facility, take a tour and visit with the city’s firefighters.

     The City of Oldsmar Fire Rescue Community Public Education programs include CPR, First Aid, Baby Sitting Course and Fire Extinguisher usage. Whether an individual, group or business, I encourage you to take a class or attend a refresher and keep up to date on these life saving skills. We view our public education and public information services as essential programs following the old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! We also have an ongoing child safety seat installation program. If you have small children or have to take the grand kids for a drive, let our trained seat installers assist you with the car seat installation to assure it is correct and will function appropriately.

     Oldsmar firefighters also conduct home smoke detector testing for those that need assistance and we will provide a working smoke detector to any home that needs one. If you own a pool, firefighters can perform a pool safety inspection and provide some pointers on reducing the possibility of a child drowning.

     We also provide effective fire prevention and inspection services that include plans review for all new commercial construction, certificate of occupancy inspections and annual fire safety inspections for all commercial buildings in the city. If you would like a courtesy inspection or have questions regarding the Florida Fire Prevention Code just give us a call, we will be happy to help.
